Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, many schools have been closed, making in person classes impossible and assessments more difficult.  At the Royal University of Phnom Penh, although assessment is an important factor, often time, only results from some high-stake assessments, such as midterm and final exams, are processed and used as data for decision making. One of the possible reasons is how difficult it is to obtain and process them. Because most assessments are paper based, processing the results can be labor-intensive. Therefore, it is challenging for lecturers to understand students’ progress and take actions timely. Moreover, the closure of the university and the switch to online learning requires an entirely new way of evaluating students. During the pandemic, I have worked closely with the university to help tackle the problem. Despite the short amount of time we have, we managed to run both in class assessments and high-stake examinations successfully and stress the importance of assessment once again with all the faculty members. However, the price of the tool increased due to a new pricing model introduced by its company. Therefore, in this new technology plan, a new and more sustainable tool will be used to continue solving the problems.
